About the Founder & Team
After 25+ years in the space industry, Kiel Davis founded Maple Hill Technologies (MHT) to build a sustainable future here on Earth. Prior to starting MHT, Kiel was the President of Honeybee Robotics where he led an incredible team of 400 space exploration professionals. During his time there, he worked closely with customers including NASA, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, DARPA, the Air Force Research Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Airbus OneWeb, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Schlumberger and many more to develop and deploy new robotics and automation technology for a diverse set of missions.

Davis is an engineer at heart, holding degrees from the University of Rochester (B.S. Mechanical Engineering) and New York University (M.S. Robotic Control Systems Engineering), and is an expert in developing cutting-edge robotic systems for extreme environments.

In addition to his technical expertise, Kiel has gained a wealth of practical business experience scaling and transforming Honeybee Robotics from a small technology development firm into a medium-sized product manufacturing company that became vital to our nation's most important space missions. Along the way, he developed strategy, implemented management operating systems and led his team through multiple mergers and acquisitions.

At MHT, Davis is assembling another world class team of technology professionals with expertise in business, engineering and manufacturing. Instead of deep space exploration, Kiel and the team are focused on Earth climate science innovation, the transition to green energy, enabling food security for a growing population and manufacturing products with new sustainable materials to build a sustainable future here on Earth.
